The Accelerated Entry MSN program courses vary by semester and require a full-time commitment. Over five eight-week terms, students attend hybrid classes as they complete related clinical coursework. During their last semester, students participate in an immersive clinical experience, complete a capstone project and receive preparation for the NCLEX-RN exam, which the state of Massachusetts requires for nursing licensure. Due to the high level of engagement required, we do not recommend that students work full-time while enrolled in the Accelerated MSN program.
Curry’s Accelerated Entry MSN program prepares you to become a compassionate nurse who can deliver high-quality care to individuals with varying levels of need. You learn to:
The future of nursing is in your hands — our comprehensive courses ensure you have the skills to transform the profession into one that’s safer and more supportive.
MSN 5000 - The Art and Science of Nursing
MSN 5030 - Health Promotion Across the Lifespan
MSN 5060 - Quality Improvement and Risk Management for Nursing Practice
MSN 6450 - Health Policy, Finance and Systems
MSN 6985 - Capstone Clinical Immersion
Integral to the Accelerated MSN curriculum, the capstone and clinical immersion experiences allow you to apply skills developed in the classroom. In the capstone, you collaborate with faculty to create, implement and evaluate a scholarly project aimed at improving health care outcomes of a given population. The intensive clinical immersion course gives you real-world exposure and preparation for an advanced generalist role.
The Accelerated Master of Science in Nursing program is a full-time program. Classes and clinical experiences meet up to five days a week, depending on the semester. We offer classes and clinicals in eight- and 15-week terms, depending on the semester. Clinicals may be held in the evenings or on the weekends.
When you enroll in the MSN program at Curry, you can rest assured that you’re receiving a top-notch nursing education.
In recognition of this, our nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and the College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
While both programs empower students with the knowledge and clinical skills to pass the NCLEX, the ACCEL program offers an entry-level nursing education to students seeking a second bachelor’s degree and the Accelerated MSN provides advanced training to those interested in obtaining a master’s degree and taking on nursing leadership roles.
